Busy schedules can make it hard to get motivated in the morning, especially when you’re trying to juggle your business goals. But what if I told you that becoming a morning person could help you become more successful? It’s true!
Becoming a morning person isn’t an overnight process, but with these four tips for creating successful habits, you can create a routine that will help you reach your goal.
Are you ready?
1. Set Achievable Goals – Setting small achievable goals is the best way to start your journey to becoming a morning person. Try setting one or two goals that you want to accomplish first thing in the morning before starting your day. This will help you stay focused and motivated throughout the day. For example, if your goal is to work on a new project for your business, try tackling one task each morning until it’s completed. The key is to set realistic goals so that you don’t become overwhelmed or discouraged by not reaching them right away.
2. Get Enough Sleep – As an entrepreneur, it can be tempting to stay up late working on projects and planning ahead for the future of your business. However, getting enough sleep is essential for success—it allows us to rest our brains and bodies so that we can be productive during the day and perform at our best while still being able to take breaks as needed. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night and make sure that your bedroom is free from distractions like computers and TVs so that you can fall asleep faster and get better quality rest overall.
3. Create A Morning Routine – Creating a consistent routine in the morning will help you become more productive and organized throughout the day. Make sure to include activities like stretching, meditating, drinking water or tea, eating breakfast, reading something inspirational or educational, and writing down three things that you are grateful for each day. These activities will help jumpstart your day with positive energy and keep you focused on achieving your goals throughout the day ahead of you!
4. Reward Yourself – Rewarding yourself after setting goals helps reinforce positive behavior which makes it easier for us to stick with our routines over time! Whether it’s taking 15 minutes out of every hour worked on your project or treating yourself with something special after completing a big task—positive reinforcement makes it easier to sustain long-term motivation towards achieving our goals!
Becoming a morning person doesn’t happen overnight—it takes dedication, commitment, and consistency in order to stick with it over time! These four tips are designed specifically for Entrepreneurs who want to create successful habits in order reach their business goals faster than ever before!
With these tips, you can start today towards becoming a more motivated version of yourself! Good luck!
Are you ready to stop playing yourself and get motivated to achieve your goals? Setting goals is an essential part of achieving success, but if you don’t have the motivation to follow through, all the goal setting in the world won’t do you any good. That’s why it’s so important to understand how to stop getting in your own way and to stay motivated in order to achieve your goals. In this blog post, we’ll discuss the best strategies for getting out of your own way and keeping yourself motivated to reach your goals.
What’s Holding You Back? Life gets in the way, I get it. Between everyday responsibilities, kids, bills, our significant others, many times, what we want tend to get on the back burner. Trust me, I know… We as women have the “super power” to, well, forget about ourselves and put others first.
We will write to do lists, goal lists, an buy all the planners in the world, but what happens?? They sit there and collect dust. We make excuse after excuse of why we can’t do something or why now isn’t the right time. Newsflash! The only thing that’s holding you back is yourself. It’s time for you to stop making excuses and start taking action! Set aside a certain amount of time every day that is solely dedicated to working towards achieving your goals. No distractions, no other commitments – just you and your dreams. Make sure that this time is realistic for you; if you don’t think that you can commit two hours a day towards your goals, then start with an hour or 30 minutes a day – whatever works for you! Don’t overcommit yourself and then feel overwhelmed. Just start small and gradually work your way up. Track your progress and reward yourself for any successes that you make along the way – no matter how small!
Change Your Mindset It starts with one single thought. A positive word, an affirmation, or a quote. Think of something positive that will motivate you. For example, if your goal is to finish school, create a mantra such as “I have the power to achieve my goals”. Write it down on sticky notes or post it on your wall as a reminder when you find yourself wavering. Remember that it’s ok to feel discouraged but don’t allow yourself to be overwhelmed by negative thoughts. Talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend, be supportive and keep pushing yourself forward.

Set Realistic Goals Now here is the kicker, it’s time to set goals FOR REAL, but let’s make them realistic. Now I’m not saying don’t challenge yourself, but what I am saying is, let’s not say ” I want to make 1 million dollars by the end of the week” and have no clue or plan on how? Because that sets you up for failure right off the bat and it can be so disheartening if you allow it. Set a goal that makes you push yourself a bit but also something you know you can achieve.
Once you set a goal then comes action items. Make a list of things you need to do to reach your goal and make sure they are actionable items. Meaning, something you can actually do to get closer to your goal. Don’t just keep talking about what you need to do, DO IT! No excuses!!
Take ownership of your goal and your results! Have accountability partners; this means someone who can help hold you accountable for reaching your goal as well as give you sound advice if needed. Last but not least, be flexible with your timeline; life happens and can be unpredictable at times so take a breath and reassess if need be. You got this!
Get Organized Oraganization makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!! If your thoughts are all over the place, your mind is cluttered. Nothing gets done because you have no clue where to begin…this is when overwhelm sets in. You don’t want that to happen!

Take Action You’ve written the goals, you’ve taken the time to get organized now what? It’s important that your actions reflect your words. If you say that you want to achieve something then you must be willing to put in the work. Show up and be present with yourself. Put yourself out there and take small steps towards your goal each day. Think of it as taking one step forward and two steps back.
Celebrate every milestone no matter how small. This will help keep you motivated and give you a sense of accomplishment. It’s also important to recognize where you have been in order to track your progress. Taking these steps can help combat the fear of failure, imposter syndrome, and any doubts that may arise. Lastly, remember to stay focused on why it is that you are doing this – for yourself. By staying true to who you are, your values and your vision for yourself, no one will ever be able to stop you from achieving your goals.
Persevere The closer you get to your goal, the farther it feels away…have you experienced that feeling? It feels as if you keep pushing, keep going, keep trying, but you can’t help but think to yourself…”when am I going to make it??”, ” When will I reach my goal?” Remembering that success is all about the journey, not necessarily reaching a destination is important. Learn how to enjoy each small victory along the way. Celebrate your successes by rewarding yourself with small treats or maybe even a nice dinner.
Remind yourself why you started this journey. Write down a list of all of the reasons why achieving this goal is important to you and hang it up somewhere where you’ll see it every day. Finally, do something everyday that will bring you one step closer to achieving your goals. Even the smallest of actions add up over time and are a great way to stay motivated. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible!
Reward Yourself One thing to remember… REWARD YOURSELF ALWAYS!! Rewards do not have to be expensive; it could be something as simple as taking yourself out for coffee, taking a bubble bath, or watching a movie. Rewards keep you motivated, help you stay focused, and remind you of your progress. Whether it’s checking something off your list, reaching a goal, or simply just showing up, reward yourself. Also, don’t forget to celebrate the small wins. (notice I KEEP SAYING THIS right?) It is easy to focus on the long-term goals and forget about the small steps it takes to get there. Taking time out of your day to celebrate the small wins will give you momentum and keep you motivated. Remember, no matter how big or small, reward yourself!
You got this Sis!! Each day is another day YOU GET to make something happen…
It’s been awhile, ya girl had to step back and focus on, well ME. Keeping up with what YOUR goals and Plans are essential when running a business or wanting to start one. With that being said, I know you’ve seen posts and blogs about vision boards. You may think, “UGH, more to do!” However, creating a vision board helps you get focused, stay focused, or assists in refocusing your plan.
We know, we should always have a plan of action, for ANYTHING we do. When it comes to business, it’s truly helpful to create a Vision Board.
Vision board example from MorningCoffeewithDee.com
Here are a few things needed to create a Vision Board:
Magazines (your favorite of course, but those you don’t mind cutting up)
When starting your vision board, you want to think of all of the things you aspire to do throughout life, school, business, or whatever you feel you would need the vision board for. For me, I’m not gonna front, I wasn’t feeling doing one at all. I felt as though it was a waste of time and I didn’t understand the purpose.
Luckily, I had a neighbor that decided, for her birthday, she wanted to host a Vision Board party. I thought it was different, so I said, Why not. We were instructed to bring our own magazines and any additional decorating supplies we would like to use. We each had our own creative space around the living room and we got to cutting.
I sat back and had to think, what the HECK am I doing? I have no clue where to begin! So she explained to me what the purpose of the vision board was and to think of goals I would like to achieve within 1 year and goals I would like to achieve within 5 years. After that, I got to thinking and began to browse through the pages of the magazines.
It’s a bit funny, because I’ve looked through these magazines many times, but now that I’m thinking about my goals, I’m seeing photos and articles in the magazines quite differently. I started cutting away, writing down my thoughts and ideas, adding stickers, glitter, pictures galore…
In the midst of all the cutting, we played games, indulged in snacks and had a lot of fun. So much so, that we ran out of time to finish. However, we were each given an accountability partner to check-in throughout the year and a few times a month to keep us focused on our goals.
The whole idea of the Vision Board, may sound like something busy and silly to do. However, after I created mine, it helps me stay focused on my goals. I’ve accomplished quite a few, and looking back, when I check-in it feels REALLY FREAKIN’ GOOD!!
Long story short, if you have things you want to accomplish, things you’ve been wanting to try, or just need a visual of things that keep you motivated …Create a Vision Board, trust me, it’s NOT THAT HARD and it truly helps.
We live in a world FULL of sayings. We listen to songs, repeat what we hear from celebrities, and tend to act on or live our life based on those sayings. You know, the sayings like…
YOLO, you only live once
Get Rich or Die trying
What goes up, must come down
No New Friends round here
Don’t get me wrong, there are some powerful and encouraging sayings out there. However, on the other hand, there are some sayings that may deem toxic as well.
My all time favorite was, “No New Friends“… I’m not gonna front, I use to say this all the time. I lived and breathed it in my 30’s and felt I was good with just my “triangle” of friends. I say a triangle because my squad was so small and so tight, there wasn’t room to add, it was only the 3 of us, and I wasn’t trying to change it for anything.
Don’t get me wrong, I grew up with the Girl Scouts motto… “Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold…” I lived and breathed that as well. However… I grew up, got married, moved away, lost touch and reality hit on how trifling, low, and demeaning people could be. With that being said…I had a MAJOR mindset shift. I truly believed that I didn’t need New Friends. I didn’t want to meet new people or the worst part, I never cared to even NETWORK with people because of that thought process.
“Due to my past experiences with the wrong people, I shut out the RIGHT people…”
Don’t get me wrong, I was NEVER evil, angry, or had a bad attitude when I did meet new people. I just had no interest in following up or getting to know them better. This thought process is definitely a TOXIC MINDSET.
Funny thing, God knows how to teach us lessons and make us MOVE out of our own way. With that being said, I was separated from my “triangle” and forced to engage, meet, and actually miss being around people in general. You remember, that whole year of NOT being outside. Just being back outside brought back that little girl scout once again. My thought process changed, because I knew, I needed to meet new people. I needed to engage, I wanted to learn more and better myself.
” You don’t know, who will help you get to that next level. You have to step out of your comfort zone and give “New Friends” a chance.”
Now, allow me to back up a bit. Prior to me meeting new friends, I had to meet my NEW self. I had to take a moment and see exactly what I wanted out of life. What experiences I wished to indulge in and what type of person I am.
Once I begin my journey of reflection and SELF-CARE, new doors have been opening up for me. I’ve been drawn to meeting new people and you know what… I’m having the time of my life!!
My point is, everyone needs a tribe, a community, not just that one circle of friends that you’ve known forever. The older you get, there WILL be new experiences life throws at you. You will find that you WILL get the chance to meet NEW FRIENDS. It’s OK, it’s super healthy, and you will find that when you have the right tribe or community behind you, you will learn more about yourself as a person. You may even realize there are things you never would’ve experienced or even enjoyed without stepping OUT of that Toxic mindset of “No New Friends”.
Life is funny this way. When you think you’ve got it all figured out…BOOM… there’s a “glitch” in the system.
With that being said, Go ahead and get out there!! LevelUp… do it for your HEALTH!!!
Hey Hey Guys!! Your girl had to take a SERIOUS break… yeah, I’ve done it before and THAT’s OK!
Unfortunately, mine came from being a bit ill. With all of the jobs, titles, and everything in between I attempted to juggle, I became SUPER overwhelmed and neglected my own health. I won’t get into too many details, but I WIL TELL YOU THIS… after a certain age, we need to start paying attention to our bodies and if that means taking supplements, vitamins, and getting some FREAKIN’ REST… well-by-GOLY make sure you do that.
I had the mindset of…
I’ll Sleep when I’m dead
Team No Sleep
Push past it, You got it
The thing about working your BUTT OFF… it’s NOT HEALTHY AT ALL!!! I know, I know, back in the day, just like me, we all had those “party all night” moments and it was super easy… back then…super easy BACK then…
HOWEVER,when you add in:
STAYING SEXY (that’s a job too, don’t judge me)
SCHOOL (I’m a education junkie)
plus, EVERY FREAKING THING IN BETWEEN
You can get WIPED ALL THE WAY OUT…NO MORE Stamina to stay up late! No More Partying til Dawn! No more…I could really keep going. I’m at that point where, I’m excited to take a hot shower, rub down in my smell good lotions and oils, climb into bed, cuddle with my Boo and fall asleep watching cartoons by 9pm… YES REALLY and I KNOW I’m not alone.
My point, EMBRACE the tired feeling. When your body says it’s tired, take a NAP, when you can. If you don’t FEEL like hanging out, DON’T. If you not feeling like getting “Lit” at the BBQ, DON’T. If you’d rather take leisurely walk, DO IT. If you’re working and having a hard time focusing and getting frustrated, Take a minute and STEP AWAY.
Those things, Those activities, That work… WILL STILL BE THERE.
However...there’s always that…
If you made plans with friends, make sure you plan your day. Don’t do too much to get yourself tired and if you do, take a nap before hand. You don’t want to flake on them, they are your support system, and everyone needs “friend time”.
Don’t get SUPER wasted, because you WILL be the party pooper, or miss the fun completely.
If you notice that you are toooo tired, more than usual, make an appointment with your doctor and get your vitamin levels checked. You may find out you need a few supplements to help you get through the day.
Don’t pile too much on your plate!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT pile too much on your plate. (Did you hear me in the back?) Life is like a juggling act. When you think you can handle one thing, you automatically feel as if you can throw in another, then another, then another… after awhile, you have sooo many things going on and you begin dropping your plates. Not being able to focus, not being able to keep up with responsibilities, forgetting things, etc.
We have ONE life, plan accordingly, take time for self care, and enjoy the moments…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Your girl is back and boy do I have some thangs to share with you..
Sooo many things have gone on in my life…business had me stressed, life had me turned allll the way around… etc, etc… However, I’m not gonna throw ALLL of it at you at one time. Let’s talk about you girlfriends… How YOU BEEN???
Since it is the New Year, the normal routine EVERYONE likes to talk about is RESOLUTIONS… Girl BYE, I ditched the thought of resolutions years ago and decided to create vision boards instead. Now, I know you’re thinking…”here she go with these Vision boards again”… and I’m gonna say… “YES I AM, Girl don’t do me!!” (Ha Ha) You already know I am a HUGE fan of manifesting the things I want out of life and if you don’t now you know!!
Creating a vision board is like creating a visual pathway to your dreams. Many people don’t realize the POWER of visualization. It’s just like picking out your plans, one by one, and strategically placing them where you can see them everyday. Long story short, if you see it everyday, it will push you or remind you of the things you REALLY want out of life. That affect will cause you to take the necessary steps to get there, point blank.
This is my very first vision board I did a few years ago. I focused on travel, networking, my health, reading more, embracing others and so on. There are many ways you can do your vision board. I did mine in the 1 to 5 year mark. I placed it in my office, so that I would see it daily and you know what?? I can honestly say I have done everything on that board!!
Tips to creating your vision board:
Don’t overthink it: only add what truly interests you and what you want out of life or your business
Time span: You want to set an end goal for these things to happen. You could do 1yr, within 5yrs, or break it into Q1 and Q2 etc goals.
Make it Visible: If you do a digital one, save it as your screen saver. Print it out and post it on your wall. You could even put it in a nice frame as a piece of art.
It’s all about you babe: REMEMBER, this is YOUR vision. What YOU want out of life, be selfish with this, it’s ok!!
Now, the post says PLAYTIME FOR ADULTS and, well, sitting down with your favorite drink, vibing to some music and taking your time to select visual images of the things you want out of life… ummmm, how is that NOT playtime?? No kids, No distractions, using your imagination and a bit of creativity…. I don’t know about you but that’s playtime for me!! Step it up and have a few friends over to do vision boards with you, make it a small party! Doesn’t that sound like a good time?? DON’T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT!!!
If you’re like me, you have a lot going on, so you may not have time to do cut out pics. That shouldn’t stop you!!
With the templates tab highlighted, type in moodboards, collages, or inspiration boards as your template.
Find the perfect images in the photos or elements tab.
Type in what you are searching for, ex. luxury cars, money, exercise…etc.
Add each one and go one from there!
So, I’ve shared what PLAYTIME is for me, what is playtime for you?? Try and get a vision board in, do it on a poster, create it in Canva and save it on your phone!! Whatever works, HAVE FUN MANIFESTING the life YOU want to live!!!
It’s that time again… time for me to pop out of hiding and check in on everyone. Yes I said check in, because the way life “could-be-set-up”, we all have to check in on each other from time to time.
So, how are you? Me? I’ve been selfish. Yes, you read that right, I’m a SELFish individual. I put me and my mental health first before I step out and do anything. It’s my version of selfLOVE, selfCARE, and all about me. Life as a whole is A LOT! You know it, you experience it, so there isn’t much for me to talk about with that right?
What I am going to talk about, is the fact that, YOU AREN’T as SELFish as you SHOULD BE. I’m not talking about not taking care of the family, ignoring your responsibilites and not helping your fellow man. That’s NOT what I’m saying! I’m saying, have the Airplane mentality. Meaning, if the plane’s air pressure gets low, the oxygen masks pop out right? The first thing they tell you, is to place your mask on first, then help others. Why? Think about it, if you’re so busy helping others with their masks, while the air pressure in the plane is diminishing, who’s gonna pass out first? Who’s NOT gonna be ANY HELP and will become MORE OF AN ISSUE because you didn’t put YOUR MASK ON FIRST!!
Long story short, YOU CAN’T HELP OTHERS if YOU DON’T TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST!!
STOP running yourself ragged taking care of EVERYTHING. Delegate, let someone else handle it. If you have a big task, take a moment or a few moments for yourself so that you can mentally prepare.
How? Here are a few suggestions:
Take a long bath
Take a walk before work
Read that book you’ve been wanting to read
Knock out a 40 min workout with a relaxing shower
Take a 3 day vacation without your laptop
Take your time getting dressed and primped in the morning
Have a mini concert in the car, just you and your tunes
These are just a few suggestions but, try them, even if you aren’t feeling stressed, stay ahead of the game and make sure YOU come first above everything else. Take note of the many celebrities that are taking mental health care seriously.
Follow their lead, take care of you first and stop being SOOO FREAKING BUSY!! Life, Bills, Responsibilites WILL BE THERE. Schedule time for you, and the rest will be a lot easier to deal with.

If you’re like me, you actually like this Holiday. The MAJOR DATE night of the year. Guys, well, I can’t say ALL guys, but most guys feel as if this is the time of year that’s JUST FOR BUYING or a COMMERCIALIZED Holiday.
WHOOO CARES!! Why is it, that you have to look at it as a BAD THING? Now I know, yes, we get flowers and gifts throughout the year, but what’s wrong with going OVERBOARD for one day a year, other than Birthdays, but that’s another blog for another day.

An actual Holiday that doesn’t evolve around the kids, the fact that you have kids, or let’s just be straight up…the night to be the FREAKEIST, SEXIEST, ALL OUT IN TO YOUR Boo Holiday.

Go ahead, check it out and view other products we have to offer. There are more products being added to the site each month. Items such as: Bath & Body, Lingerie and PJ sets, Fitness wear and Fitness items, Yoni Bars, and much more.
If there is anything you think we should add, let me know, I’d love to know what YOU want.
So check this out, ya girl was into the whole wig slay evolution for a brief moment. Don’t get me wrong, I still rock them, but not as much or now a days when I do, I take my time with the application of products I use for the slayage.
Now, the problem I encountered was…my edges ya’ll!! I was cute, I mean fierce when I have my wig on then, BOOM… I take the wig off and my edges started to disappear!! With me being natural and rocking my natural mohawk from time to time, I NEED MY EDGES!
So, as luck would have it, I was contacted by Edge Naturale to test their product and do a review. I gotta be honest, I had NO CLUE as to which product I should use, so this was definitely a God Send.
From the first time I used it, I fell in love. I say this because it has a tingling sensation that feels wonderful after washing your hair. So, in my head…”it’s working!”.
The directions are simple, apply twice a day, which I did in morning and in the evening for about 1 month. Now, don’t get me wrong, there were a few days, I just forgot to apply it, but I can tell you when I did apply the product, it felt so relaxing, I literally applied it to my whole head, EVERYTIME. I got excited when it was time to massage my scalp.
When applying the product, you don’t need a lot. It consists of a thick, creamy substance that has a smell of mint to it. So it’s not like you put it on and your hair will have a funny smell, like some all natural products.
Ok, I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical. I’m that, “gotta see to believe” chic. However, the Edge Naturale product proved to me that it’s so worth it. Check out my results from one month of just OFF and ON use. Remember, there were days ya girl missed.
Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself. I believe everyone will have their own success story with this product. Check them out at https://edgenaturale.com , plus, when I went to the site, I found out, once you sign up, you will receive a discount… BONUS!! Trust me, you will want to have this product in your beauty arsenal for years to come.
